Tom Hackenberg

Tom Hackenberg is the Associate Director and Sr. Principal Analyst for Processors in the Technology division at IHS Markit where he has worked for the past 12 years. Tom’s broad scope of processor coverage includes traditional microcomponent and application specific processor markets. In addition to component coverage, Tom provides a breadth of knowledge related to deeply embedded systems in markets such as automotive, industrial and telecommunications equipment. His analysis extends to processor technology trends such as embedded vision, internet-of-things (IoT), sensor fusion, smart devices, artificial Intelligence (AI) and embedded security. Tom holds a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin specializing in Processors and FPGAs.
