It’s an exciting time to work in computer vision, mainly due to the technological advances in the area of deep learning. This talk is an introduction to some of the most important computer vision tasks that can be solved with deep learning. In particular, we will focus on the application of convolutional neural networks to the tasks of image classification, object detection and facial image recognition using embeddings. You will learn about the types of applications in which DNNs performing these functions are typically used, and discover some of the publicly available models and data sets that you can use to help bootstrap your own applications.
