Dr. Felix Heide is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Algolux. He is also a professor at Princeton where he leads the Princeton Computational Imaging Lab. His research explores imaging and computer vision approaches that allow computers to see and understand what seems invisible today. This includes today’s capture and vision challenges, including harsh environmental conditions, e.g. imaging under ultra-low or high illumination or computer vision through dense fog, rain, and snow, as well as kilometer-scale depth sensing, and imaging via proxies using nearby object surfaces as sensors instead. He has co-authored over 50 publications – including 6 that were accepted at CVPR 2020. Dr. Felix Heide is the recipient of the Sensors Expo 2018 Rising Star award, ACM SIGGRAPH 2017 Doctoral Dissertation Award, and the Alain Fournier 2016 Award for Best Doctoral Dissertation in Computer Graphics.
