Ning Bi

Ning Bi, VP of Technology in Qualcomm Technologies Inc., has been leading Qualcomm computer vision research for the past 10 years. His projects in machine learning and signal processing have helped to define the architecture of Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ platform chipsets to enable advanced computer vision features used in smartphone, automotive, XR and IoT SoCs. In recent years, Ning has focused on embedded solutions of biometric anti-spoofing, human face and body pose detection and recognition and 3D vision technologies. During his tenure with Qualcomm, Ning has initiated and led graphics software and speech recognition algorithm developments. Ning has 300 granted patents in the fields of computer vision, computer graphics, speech recognition and speech coding. Ning received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, M.S. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and B.S. from Peking University.
