Satya Mallick

Dr. Satya Mallick is the CEO of OpenCV.org and OpenCV.ai. OpenCV.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and innovation in computer vision software and hardware. OpenCV.ai is the for-profit arm of OpenCV.org. Under Dr. Mallick’s leadership, OpenCV has grown beyond a computer vision library to an organization that caters to the computer vision community through educational courses, edge AI hardware, competitions, forum and services. In his role as an educator, Dr. Mallick teaches OpenCV’s popular computer vision and deep learning courses, and is the principal author of LearnOpenCV.com – one of the largest computer vision blogs on the internet. Prior to becoming the CEO of OpenCV.org, Dr. Mallick co-founded two companies. His first company, Sight Commerce Inc., created vision and learning solutions for the beauty and fashion industry. His consulting company, Big Vision LLC, provides consulting and implementation expertise for computer vision, deep learning and machine learning projects. Dr. Mallick received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
