Zhe Zhang

As Founder and CEO of Trifo, Zhe Zhang has devoted his career to bringing enhanced performance and affordability to consumer robotics, AR and software engineering. Founded in 2016, Trifo is a Silicon Valley-based AI home robot company. Trifo home robots aim to provide families the optimal balance between family, work and personal life. Prior to the creation of Trifo, Zhang led sparse/dense mapping and pose tracking efforts at Magic Leap. He also drove Magic Leap’s technical evaluation program for outside partner companies. Before Magic Leap, Zhang worked at Microsoft Research where he focused on mapping, localization, navigation and self-recharge solutions for a prototype consumer robot. He then moved to the Microsoft Bing division, where he built a large-scale developer platform for image data services. Zhang earned a Ph.D. degree in Robotics from State University of New York and a B.S. degree in Automation from Tsinghua University.
