Henry Sang spent his early days at Xerox PARC where he did semiconductor physics research; managed GaAlAs laser processing, helped launch Spectra Diodes Laboratory, helped spinout Documentum, developed novel printer technologies, conducted device failure analysis and co-founded the Xerox Express Team for direct research/customer co-development. Following PARC, he was co-founder of the startup Customers & Technologies, which focused on imaging around document management systems. Later, at HP Labs, Henry led many research efforts including novel printing solutions, product anti-counterfeiting, immersive 3D technologies, operations center visualization, cosmetic color matching, industrial IoT and big data analytics. He trained his teams to do customer interactions to validate business value and mine for new ideas. Since retiring from HP, Henry spends his time helping technology startups and working with a variety of non-profit organizations. Henry enjoys woodworking. He holds degrees in nuclear physics from MIT. He has 20+ US patents.
