Deploy an Autonomous Valet Parking Solution with Cameras Using AI

In this talk, we’ll explain why we targeted autonomous valet parking (AVP) with our newest APACHE6 SoC, and how we tailored the chip design for this application. Our sister company, VADAS, will share insights from their development of camera-based AVP software, and provide an overview of the AVP software stack.

  • Peter Lee received B.S. degree in electronics and electric engineering and M.S. degree in control engineering, all from POSTECH, Pohang, Korea, in 1996, and 1998, respectively. From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at ITX AI Co., Ltd., Seoul, Korea, and from 2004 to 2010, he was CEO of ETU System, Ltd., Seoul, Korea. He is currently CEO of VADAS, Ltd., Pohang, Korea that develops and implements AVP (Autonomous Valet Parking) software algorithm in embedded platforms.

  • James Kim is a strategic business development and technical marketing specialist at Nextchip. He is in charge of sales and marketing for the U.S. and India market, and has managed branches in Detroit, U.S. and Bangalore, India since 2016. Leveraging his computer science background, James has developed global sales networks with commercial vehicle manufacturers, traditional Tier 1s and automotive OEMs as well as camera-based solution providers and SW IP developers.
