Sakyasingha Dasgupta

Sakya Dasgupta is the founder and CEO of Edgecortix, where he and his colleagues are on a mission to bring cloud-level performance to the embedded edge to enable ultra-low latency, low cost, and orders-of-magnitude better energy efficiency for machine learning. Sakya is a machine learning technologist, entrepreneur and engineer with real-world experience in taking cutting-edge research from ideation to scalable products. Prior to EdgeCortix, he spent over a decade in research and development in diverse areas like neuromorphic computing, robotics, computer vision, hardware acceleration for AI and machine learning for finance. Sakya helped establish and lead technology teams at successful startups, along with global companies like Microsoft and IBM Research and research institutes like RIKEN and the Max Planck Institute. Sakya holds a Ph.D. in Physics of Complex Systems from MPI Germany, along with a Masters in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
