Sebastian Bauer has spent his career exploring new kinds of imaging with a focus on image processing and data interpretation. He is currently a postdoc at the University of Wisconsin – Madison exploring new imaging modalities based on Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs) such as seeing around corners (non-line-of-sight imaging). He received the B.S. (2010), M.S. (2012) and PhD (2018) degrees in electrical engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany, where he focused on hyperspectral reflectance and fluorescence image acquisition, as well as hyperspectral image analysis.
