Spyros Tragoudas received his Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece in 1986, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1988 and 1991. He is a Professor and Director of the School of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), and the Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) on Embedded Systems at the SIUC site. He has held prior appointments with the faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Arizona, and with the faculty of the Computer Science Department at SIUC. His current research interests are in the areas of VLSI design/test automation and embedded systems. Dr. Tragoudas has published over three hundred papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His research has been funded by federal agencies and industry.
