  • Junko Yoshida is Editor-in-Chief of the Ojo-Yoshida Report. Junko has always been a “roving reporter” in the most literal sense. After logging 11 years of international experience at a Japanese consumer electronics company, Junko pursued a peripatetic journalism career, breaking stories, securing exclusives and filing incisive analyses from Tokyo, Silicon Valley, Paris, New York and China. Junko’s contacts and professional experience are global, multicultural and multilingual. She writes and speaks authoritatively on consumer electronics, automotive, semiconductors, emerging technologies, intellectual property and technology’s impact on people and society, with a deep understanding of the business strategies that companies employ to compete on a global scale. ‌‌During her three decades at EE Times, Junko rose from Tokyo correspondent to West Coast Bureau Chief, European Bureau Chief, News Editor and Editor-in-Chief. She earned a reputation as an innovator, shepherding EE Times’ expansion into e-books, including the award-winning “The Day the Lights Went Out in Japan.”

  • Ian Riches is Vice President of the Global Automotive Practice at TechInsights. With over 20 years of analyst experience, he is one of the foremost industry analysts in the automotive electronics sector. Ian heads research teams that provide forecasts and analysis of automotive electronic systems, semiconductors and sensors on a worldwide basis. His areas of research include power train, chassis, safety, security and body application—including high-growth areas such as hybrid and electric vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles. Ian joined TechInsights via its acquisition of Strategy Analytics. Before joining Strategy Analytics, Ian spent 2 years as Assistant Editor of Automotive Engineer, the UK magazine published by the IMechE. He has also held the position of Press Officer/Technical Author for MTL, a safety-related electronic equipment manufacturing company. Ian holds an MA in engineering from Cambridge University, where he specialized in fluid dynamics, turbo-machinery and internal combustion engines.
