Tarik Loukili is a Staff Robotics Engineer in the Intelligent Solutions Group of John Deere. Within the Automation and Autonomy Team, Tarik leads a group of engineers in applying image processing, computer vision and machine learning for precision agriculture. Before joining John Deere in 2011, he worked at NASA Glenn Research Center focusing on swarm intelligence, and at Rio Tinto as a Control Engineer. Tarik earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, where he also did PhD coursework. He is currently conducting Research at the University Of Queensland (Australia).
