In this session, attendees will gain insights into an innovative application of artificial intelligence and advanced computer vision technologies in the healthcare sector, specifically focused on nursing homes, hospitals and remote patient monitoring. Led by Dr. Harro Stokman, the CEO of Kepler Vision Technologies, the session will explore two challenges the company dealt with in developing its product: First, moving the vision application from 100% cloud-based to on-premise and then finally to embedded on the c71 MOBOTIX camera. And, second, collecting and processing visual patient data to train neural networks.

  • Dr. Harro Stokman is the CEO and Founder of Kepler Vision Technologies, a company using human activity recognition software to improve the well-being of humans at night. An expert in computer vision technology, Dr. Stokman founded Kepler Vision in 2018 after recognizing the potential for machine learning-driven human activity recognition software for cutting down on the workload of healthcare staff. Now Kepler Vision’s Night Nurse program serves as an advanced home automation system that keeps patients safe and reduces the stress and workload of staff in the elderly care space. Stokman is a serial entrepreneur. In 2014 his previous company, Euvision, was acquired by Qualcomm Technologies. Stokman lives in Amsterdam with his family, and in his spare time can usually be found exercising or indulging his fascination with Japanese hybrid quartz/mechanical watches.
