Armita Abadian’s passion for engineering began in Tehran, Iran, where she earned an electrical engineering degree with a telecommunications minor. After working at a telecommunication research center, she immigrated to the United States for her master’s in Electrical Engineering (digital design) from San Jose State (2004). Her Silicon Valley career has spanned Foveon (image sensor start-up), Marvell Technology (storage chip validation) and Qualcomm Technologies (display systems). Transitioning to technical marketing, Armita focused on imaging and sensing at Onsemi and STMicroelectronics, catering to industrial, automotive, personal electronics and medical markets. Currently, she leverages her expertise and experience to advise start-ups harnessing 2D/3D sensors and edge AI for environmental monitoring and sustainability efforts. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Armita is driven to unlock technology’s potential for a greener future.
