At Acubed, an Airbus innovation center, the mission is to accelerate AI and autonomy in aerospace. Arne Stoschek, Acubed’s VP of AI and Autonomy, will give an overview of vision systems for autonomous flight, starting at the core: sensors, perception algorithms and AI decision-making. He will connect the technology to the business goals, such as reducing pilot fatigue, improving safety, enhancing efficiency and reducing human error. Arne will then share lessons learned from Acubed’s autonomous flight system development, including challenges they’ve faced along the way. He’ll conclude by discussing how Acubed’s experience can apply to other industries and talk about what’s next for Acubed and Airbus in autonomous flight.
