In this Over-the-Shoulder session, learn how to use the LAON PEOPLE AI Edge Camera and associated software solutions. This smart camera is powered by our own hardware and software technology, including a world-class AI detection algorithm. During this session, we will demonstrate how to integrate our AI Edge Camera and software to create solutions for a variety of applications such as traffic management, smart farms, and advanced people counting with thermal information.

Session Speakers

  • HenryWoo Sang is an industrial research and business manager with careers at Xerox PARC (15yr), HPLabs (16yr), and founder of his own startup in the90’s. He specializes in helping technologists bring new technologies to the first market with an emphasis on customer discovery and co-innovation. Key technologies included life-like 3D systems, novel printing technologies, cosmetics color matching, product anti-counterfeiting, sub-dermal pharmaceutical injection, III-V semiconductors, and operations center scale vision systems. Since retiring in 2015, he coaches, advises, and consults for small companies ranging in technologies from novel materials, portable EEG, UI/UX software platforms, Ag tech, traffic management, and sensors using novel proteins. Since Fall 2019, he has worked with LAON people to formulate a strategy for entering the US market with their AI traffic technologies. US traffic opportunities show an exciting range of needs for products and services.

  • Ki-Wook Yoon is CTO at LAON PEOPLE Inc. He graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor's and a master's degree in the Department of Electric Engineering in 2002. After he graduated, he joined in Core Logic to developed MPEG4 Encoder & Decoder, multimedia SW, and DSP Codecuntil2011. After that, he joined LAON PEOPLE Inc. as a founding member. Until now he is responsible for developing the barcode Reader Algorithm & product, NAVI AI, Deep Learning Vision Inspection, and so on.

  • SukJoong Lee is a founder & CEO at LAON PEOPLE Inc. He graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor's and a master's degree in the Department of Electronic Engineering in 1994. After he graduated, he became an employee in SK Hynix to develop for Pentium CPU and accomplished to develop CIS as Korea first in 1999. After that, he moved to Core Logic to develop the Mobile Application Processor. And in 2010, he founded LAON PEOPLE Inc., and until now he manages the whole Business area. Also, he obtained the patents over the 10ea for Machine Vision & Lens Module Inspection Device.
