Durgesh Tiwari is the VP of Hardware Systems, R & D, at Simbe Robotics. An Electrical Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, he is an innovator with 20+ years of experience at Fortune 500 companies, including Motorola, Qualcomm Technologies and Texas Instruments. Durgesh is a hands-on technical leader with experience in all stages of hardware product development, from whiteboard conception to mass production. At Simbe, Durgesh has helped design Tally, the fully autonomous AI- and computer vision-based robot for retail. While working at his previous companies, he led the design of several mobile, wearable, IoT and wireless products. Durgesh lives in San Francisco and loves to spend time and meditate in nature. He has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 20 years. As an amateur vegetarian chef, he regularly gets invited to be a volunteer cook on silent meditation retreats.
