Bob Kunz is Chief Architect at Ambarella, where he has defined and led the company’s AI architecture since its first generation of products. His work spans image and video processing, computer vision and edge AI platforms for smart cameras, automotive and embedded systems. Before Ambarella, Bob spent nearly a decade at Stanford University, working under John Hennessy on large-scale systems. Today, he guides the next generation of Ambarella’s AI silicon. Bob joined Ambarella in 2004, the year of its founding, and has worked on all major components of the company’s SoC architecture, including image processing, video processing and CVflow. Kunz currently leads the architecture team. In 2004, he earned a PhD in Computer Architecture from Stanford University.
