In this session, OpenCV and AWS present Cloud Optimized OpenCV (COOL), an exclusive hardware-aware distribution of OpenCV built specifically for Arm-based AWS Graviton processors. COOL delivers up to 70% speedups across core image processing operations—including resize, adaptive Gaussian filtering and contour detection—benchmarked across 78 widely used functions against the standard “pip install” version of OpenCV 4.12.0. Attendees will learn how COOL reduces cost overhead, lowers latency and improves scalability for AI, ML, robotics and video analytics pipelines.
